During 2016, the largest and busiest 9-1-1 command centre in the USA, the FDNY, contacted Infinity CCS. It sought help and expertise to enhance and optimise response for its incoming emergency calls.
Geoff Land, Infinity CCS Managing Director, led the team to design and build the FIT (Flexible Intelligence Triage) Platform. This is now deployed to automate and accelerate Emergency Medical Services’ (EMS) triage in the command centre, which responds to more than 1.4 million emergencies every year.
The command centre is already gathering end-to-end data on all the calls and experiencing faster response times, improved dispatch accuracy and significant operational efficiency gains. Infinity CCS’ FIT allows staff to respond appropriately, consistently and effectively to every kind of medical emergency.
FIT is truly game-changing, delivering critical efficiencies beyond the typical legacy of off-the-shelf 9-1-1 triage systems. The software has been in place for 19 months and has not only improved and enhanced emergency response times but is helping to save lives.
