Ministry of Performance Is Gaining Momentum ? Are You On Board?
Jonty Pearce, editor of Call Centre Helper
In my role I get to speak to a lot of contact centre managers and suppliers to the contact centre industry. Unfortunately the success stories, and there are still some, are being overshadowed by continual news of recession and more job losses within the industry.
It was therefore with great interest and optimism that I featured the news about the Ministry of Performance back in January and pleased to see that it is really starting to build some momentum.
The concept is quite simple. Inspired by Jamie Oliver?s Ministry of Food, the Ministry of Performance is aimed at getting the contact centre industry back on its feet. Rather than just sitting around getting depressed about the economic downturn, the Ministry of Performance is looking to unite contact centre managers, consultants and suppliers around a common cause ? to share ideas and collectively help each other to improve performance, reduce costs and fight the downturn.
The list of supporters is impressive including: Colwell Salmon, New Voice Media, Infinity CCS, Bright, Horizon2, RXP, Callmedia, Anath Consulting and Teleperformance.
So why should you be on board? As a contact centre manager, you are on the front line and facing the full brunt of the current economic situation. The Ministry of Performance can help you in two ways. First it offers a ?free?, yes ?free? consulting service. It has secured some of the most experience operational contact centre consultants in the country to volunteer their time to the cause. One of these consultants will visit your contact centre and spend 2 hours walking the floor and talking with your people. They will then spend 40 minutes or so with you providing you instant feedback and sharing with you their thoughts and ideas of how you can improve productivity and performance ? what have you got to loose. Second, as the Ministry of Performance grows, it is looking to connect contact centre managers who have faced or overcome similar challenges together so that you can share thoughts and ideas and help each other drive up performance.
Early feedback is the people are embracing the Ministry of Performance concept and starting to work together to help each other. I encourage you to find out more and get on board.
